OUGD603: The Designers Republic - Pointless

Ian Anderson came in from the designers republic and set us a two day brief. The brief was to do a pointless activity for an hour, document it and then present it.

              
































I came up with a few ideas, but I decided to type numbers out in a sequence starting with '0'.

To document the pointless task, I took a screen recording of myself doing it. At the end of the recording I printed out one copy (which I'll use for the presentation), and I deleted the file, making it extra pointless.

For my presentation I presented how many numbers I'd typed, I looked at some facts and figures. For the main bit of my presentation I presented a 5 minute video of me typing out all the numbers. The video shows how boring and pointless the task was, and at the end of the recording I delete the file that I have just typed out.

 

Before deleting the file I printed out a copy of the numbers, and to make my work extra pointless I screwed up the data and threw it in the bin at the end of the presentation.
