In the second ditto workshop Ben wanted us to bring a rough research methodology that we'd been working on.
My methodology was all about experiencing first hand the topic of the brief and to take pictures. After gathering images from photographs, magazines etc. I would then stick the images on the ceiling. I found that in the morning I seem to be able to come up with my best ideas, so by sticking the images on the ceiling, when I wake up I can spend half an hour looking up and writing down ideas. To which I then took and developed.
After bringing our ideas to the table we were then asked to take our methodology, give it a name, illustrate it and then present it to the group.
I called mine 'That Ceiling Feeling':
Read brief > Collect images > Stick on ceiling, Lay in bed, Note down ideas, Develop.
Ben wanted for the next session a more developed methodology, and to see it in use.
