OUGD603: YCN - Moo: Development

We decided that we would create three posters, made out of card. Each poster would be able to work as a set or on its own and would depict the stages of a banana working wonders. We started first by digitally making them, trying to find a style that we both thought fit the Moo aesthetic. James designed the banana and I designed the banana split. The added extras like the trees and leafs were both worked on together:

After we had three posters that we liked we set up our document so that we could laser cut each shape  with the right colour:






Once the card was cut out we cut and stuck the card precisely, creating folds in the card so that when photographed, depth would be added. We lifted the card of the paper using mount board to creating levels in the image.























Once we had cut all the shapes out, folded them and stuck down the bits that needed sticking down, we then photographed the card.
















After completing the photography we took the artwork onto the computer where James cut each one out. We decided that we would cut each one out and then digitally enhance a coloured background, because the colour that we took it on was too dull on the final images.




We then developed the posters and added text digitally:
